Volume 4 creates an invigorating dialogue between modern science and ancient
wisdom contained in the Vedas, Upanishads and other Sutras, focusing thematically on the
nature of matter (both living and non-living), the origin of life itself, holistic
medicine, Yogasutras, and much else. Taking a contemporaneous scientific view of
"structuralistic traditions" (Samkhya, Mimamsa,
Vaisheshika), it
juxtaposes modern physicists theories of elementary particles and some of the most
recent developments in microbiology with traditional views on the nature and function of
matter, traditional cosmology, mysticism, Samkhya theory of matter, and ancient and
medieval systems of medicine, among other things.
