Ramakar Pant Anthropologist; obtained D.Phil. from the Department of Anthropology, University of Allahabad; has done intensive fieldwork in the regions of Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Rajasthan and Meghalaya; participated in several national and international seminars and conferences; published articles and book reviews; his book based on in-depth work on ‘Life Style, Cultural Ideology and Crisis Management of Widows in Vrindavan, a Sacred City’ is in press; Associated with the UNESCO Chair Programme of the IGNCA. Presently he is co-ordinating various projects under Lok Parampara and Kshetra Sampada programme.
